Leonard Pitts Jr.’s column “Sorry, Donald, not interested,” (Dec. 8): You imply others are buried with endless solicitations day by day too? Congress must simplify and streamline marketing campaign financing, if solely they weren’t so busy fundraising. All polls, surveys and petitions are merely covers for a handout, and I share the panhandle fascination even when it’s a spaghetti-against-the-wall toss seeing if something will stick. Everybody or nobody. We’re crying tears of horror or pleasure, be the primary or final, east or west, worst or greatest, simply beat this FEC finish of quarter, month, week, day or sentence deadline. We’d like your cash NOW, by no means thoughts that Election Day is almost a 12 months away. How and when did our election priorities change from the very best concepts and votes to the very best fundraising and cash?
