JUBA, Nov 12 (Reuters) – South Sudan’s President Salva Kiir has sacked his finance minister and his inside minister, with out giving causes for the adjustments, state tv and his press secretary stated late on Friday.
Kiir eliminated Athian Ding Athian from the publish of finance minister, changing him with Agak Achuil Lual, whereas inside minister Paul Mayom Akec was changed by Mahmoud Solomon Agook.
Kiir’s press secretary Ateny Wek Ateny stated the adjustments wouldn’t have an effect on the functioning of the federal government.
South Sudan gained independence from Sudan in 2011 however descended into preventing two years later when forces loyal to Kiir and to his then rival Riek Machar clashed within the capital.
The civil warfare, which ended with a peace deal in 2018, killed 400,000 individuals and triggered Africa’s largest refugee disaster for the reason that 1994 Rwandan genocide.
